"Rosas y Revelaciones: Homage to la Virgen de Guadalupe" Opening Reception
When: Fri., April 17 2026
Mexic-Arte Museum, a longstanding hub for the celebration and preservation of Mexican and Latin American art in Austin, will honor Mexico’s primary patron saint in its latest exhibition. “Rosas y Revelaciones” features 90 textile works by Mexican artists, “offering visitors an intimate look at the ways traditional techniques can express profound faith, imagination, and identity,” according to the museum. Entry to the opening reception includes two drink tickets and dessert. A short set by Chicano soul artist Midnight Navy will also accompany the viewing of the rose-adorned textile art. – Joseph Gonzalez
