Virginia Creeper’s latest album, People Love the Dallas Cowboys Because They Want to Love Themselves, only arrived last September, but Bandcamp liner notes reveal its songs – a countrified take on Phoebe Bridgers-esque indie rock – were recorded in the midst of the pandemic. No telling how Genevieve Post will deliver her next round of winking self-deprecation; that’s what this show – with San Antonio genre/language chameleon Pam3, muted Houston emos Pallas Wept, and local alternative quintet Ritual – is for. – Carys Anderson
