As a lover of language and someone who is employed as a copy editor, the idea of hosting a “Grammar Table” on a city street inviting questions, complaints, and Oxford comma debates is exciting but makes me extremely nervous. But that’s what Ellen Jovin did one day in Manhattan, and the resulting engagement led to a tour of all 50 U.S. states documented by her filmmaker husband, Brandt Johnson. See the funny, educational, and touching moments that resulted in this travel doc that shows how we’re all connected by the words we use, and even make your own stop at the Grammar Table – it’ll be there along with Jovin and Johnson for this very special occasion. – Kat McNevins
