Indiana Jones might have had a mustache. Tom Selleck was the first choice to play the 1930s adventuring archaeologist, but his Magnum, P.I. obligations got in the way. Harrison Ford instead popped on Indy’s fedora, and, over the course of five films, embodied one of American cinema’s most iconic characters. This series starter sees Dr. Jones crisscrossing the globe in search of the Ark of the Covenant, all the while wooing the girl (Karen Allen), fighting Nazis, and fending off snakes.
