The world may be going to hell in a handbasket, but you know what always makes it better? Soup! And Local Queer ATX knows the best way to enjoy soup is with friends. So they’re inviting folks to come try soups made by queer chefs, play bingo for prizes, and participate in the spoon swap, which entails bringing a spoon you want to pass on and leaving with an even cooler spoon. Best of all, proceeds go to grassroots org Queertopia, which has helped place over 150 community members in housing, largely through the work of volunteers. – Kat McNevins
