Sleazy garage punks Pussy Gillette and psychedelic Tex-Mex disciple Garrett T. Capps deliver the doubleheader you never knew you needed. The former’s still riding the high of 2023’s snarling Permanent Trash, while the latter dropped I Still Love San Antone, a topical, collaborative romp featuring everyone from Augie Meyers and Joe “King” Carrasco to Kevin Russell and Rosie Flores, in March. PG’s razor-tongued spitter-bassist Masani Negloria is still healing a hand injury, but Yayoi Tsushima – of legendary Japanese Riot Grrrls TsuShiMaMiRe – is on deck to fill in.
