PRISM 38, Austin’s longest-running film festival and the city’s signature LGBTQ+ cinema event, returns October 16-19 at Galaxy Theatres. This year’s lineup celebrates bold, authentic queer storytelling – from the 25th anniversary screening of Sordid Lives with writer/director Del Shores in person for a live Q&A, to the uproarious crowd-pleaser Blowie on Friday night, the hauntingly beautiful Night in West Texas, the moody psychological drama How Far Does the Dark Go?, and the tender coming-of-age story Other People’s Bodies. Presented by aGLIFF, PRISM 38 invites audiences to laugh, cry, and celebrate the stories that define our community.
