Keanu plays Johnny Utah, an undercover FBI agent sent to L.A. to solve a series of bank robberies done by the mysterious “Ex-Presidents,” a rowdy group prone to donning the masks of Reagan, Carter, Nixon, and Johnson. Suspecting they’re surfers, Utah infiltrates that community, led by the magnetic Bodhi (Patrick Swayze), and falls in love with one of their own. Technically that’s Lori Petty’s surfer girl Tyler, but we all know the real romance of the film is between Utah and Bodhi, as Utah is drawn into the Swayze character’s devil-may-care adrenaline-seeking lifestyle. Maybe the dumbest, and most perfect, action movie ever made. – Lina Fisher
