Thirty years have passed since the Academy of American Poets launched the first-ever National Poetry Month, and who better to celebrate this lyrical time with than Austin’s first-ever poet laureate. Zell Miller III presents this evening honoring not only the rhapsodic format but also the myriad languages it comes in. With local poets reciting works in their native languages, attendees will get to “experience how poetry connects us all, across languages, borders, and traditions.” – James Scott
