Other Voices: A Tribute to the Songs of Nanci Griffith w/ Nichole Wagner (host), Amy Atchley, Beth Chrisman, Kylie Hernandez, & more

Nanci Griffith was criminally underrated throughout her career. Yes, the Austin native “folkabilly” singer was celebrated by her contemporaries (Townes Van Zandt and John Prine, among others) but never felt that she achieved the same level of mainstream success as them. She won one Grammy for Other Voices, Other Rooms, a cover project with features from peers Emmylou Harris, Arlo Guthrie, and more. For the seventh year in a row, and the fifth since her 2021 death, Austin’s contemporary folkabillies will gather in tribute with songwriter Nichole Wagner as host and curator. In honor of her standalone career, the set list will contain only Griffith originals. – Rina Laby
