Terry Chiu’s independent sci-fi film has one review on IMDB.com, which calls it “The End of Evangelion in corporeal form.” Strangely, this isn’t a positive review despite referencing probably one of the most lauded anime OVAs ever. Oh well! You’ll have to make up your own mind this Sunday, as WLV screens this Canadian-made, three-hour-long movie about vagabonds searching for the Embodiment of Angst across a dystopian landscape. Local filmmaker Carl Fry (Rats!) intros the feature, and his and Maxwell Nalevanksy’s satirical short film “I Killed Osama!?” plays first.
