For almost a half century the O. Henry Museum has been gathering the world’s best pun-makers for a day of groan-inducing wordplay. There’s a punster social on Friday at Brush Square Courtyard, but the real verbal acrobatics begin Saturday at 11:30am with 32 contestants bringing 90-second routines with them to see who is the Punniest of Show. Following that, another 32 PunSlingers showcase their improvised pun prowess to see who is the last one standing. Puns may be the lowest form of comedy, but in the hands of these pros, it’s high art. – James Renovitch
