Preserving a family’s history often starts in the kitchen, maybe with an index card file of recipes or a well-loved cookbook or just observations from the sidelines as Grandma offers tips and tricks. Chúng Mình Collective and Tiger Balm Press aim to preserve a collection of Asian family recipes and stories with their new diasporic cookbook zine, Nourished, and celebrate its release with a party that offers spiritual and physical nourishment. A DJ set by 2e3 and an intro from the editors opens up to a tasting of some sample items from the zine, a storytelling session and open mic, and a raffle drawing. Preordered zines can be picked up with some available for purchase, and donations will be accepted for local mutual aid orgs. The organizers ask that attendees please RSVP. – Kat McNevins
