If the purpose of a life is to do good for other people, then Turk and Christy Pipkin have lived with true purpose. Over the last 25 years, their Nobelity Project nonprofit has paid for classrooms, kitchens, water systems, and more for schools across Kenya. Now they're moving to the charity's next stage, funding legacy scholarship endowments at Huston-Tillotson University, UT-Austin, and Dedan Kimathi University of Technology in Kenya. Celebrate this new endeavor and Turk’s birthday with a special double bill: a 20th anniversary screening of their first documentary, Nobelity, and a screening of its 2009 companion and plea for a better world, One Peace at a Time. – Richard Whittaker
