Screenwriter Neil Simon (The Odd Couple) strings together a zany parody of Agatha Christie-style whodunits with a stellar cast – Peter Falk doing a Sam Spade impression, Maggie Smith parodying Nora of Nick and Nora Charles, Eileen Brennan being amazing (in this and Clue) and none other than Truman Capote as the reclusive billionaire that invites them all to his country mansion. If you’re a fan of Knives Out but have never studied the ancient texts, see this one, and then see Clue. Respect the storied lineage of the murder mystery pastiche. – Lina Fisher
