If you’re a Shakespeare lover and a fan of a comedic twist, you won’t want to miss this free production of what may be the original rom-com. Director Ann Ciccolella brings a reimagined version of the play to the Zilker stage all month as part of its Shakespeare in the Park series. Set in mid-20th-century Italy, her adaptation follows Beatrice and Benedick as the pair navigate tricks, deceit, and an age-old enemies-to-lovers tale. The cast includes Texas State University performers and several Austin Shakespere veterans bringing the playwright’s classic to attendees of all ages under the Texas summer sky. – Rachel N. Madison
