more eaze, David Israel, Jerry David DeCicca, Strummclub

Twenty years ago, David Israel released his debut EP of lo-fi folk, These Are the Clothes We’ll Wear When We’re Old. It’s one of the great underrated homemade releases from Austin’s indie songwriter scene in the mid-2000s, with Israel winding through an askew poetry that sounds like a Texas take on Dave Berman meets Phil Elverum. The EP gets revived for its first vinyl release and loads a lineup of experimental and underground folk and indie artists in support, including mesmerizing Brooklyn-based composer more eaze, Jerry David DeCicca delivering the mellow wisdom of Cardiac Country, and Strummclub. – Doug Freeman
