MLK Jr. Celebration: Readings by Muslim Authors
Austin Public Library pays tribute to the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with this afternoon of cultural activities led by City Council Member Zo Qadri. Also honoring Muslim Heritage Month, the library offers an all-ages craft station, a henna station, and the chance to have your name written in Arabic calligraphy. Authors include Sara Bawany, Tanya Jogee, Dilara and Imran Hafiz, Yasmin Elijirby, and Madeeha Siddiqui & Safina – and there’ll even be a book giveaway! – James Scott
