Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the Austin Area Heritage Council’s annual community gathering. Barring any rain-related reschedule, attendees will march from the south steps of the Capitol after a rally. This march concludes at Huston-Tillotson, where a festival including family-friendly activities, vendors, and local music acts awaits. While enjoying the many attractions there, consider donating to the Central Texas Food Bank, as there’ll be receptacles both at the Capitol and at the university to take canned and nonperishable food items. – James Scott
