Ninety-seven candles for Miss Lavelle, 51 years of Antone’s, and five musicians to celebrate it all: During its month of anniversary shows, Antone’s is marking nearly a century of blues maven Lavelle White with a birthday soul revue. The Motown-influenced Jennifer Foster & the Audacity and rock-boogie-woogie pianist Henri Herbert represent the next torchbearers of Austin’s blues and funk scene, but the rest of the acts are, like Miss Lavelle herself, longtime Austin mainstays.
