Meet Lisa Loudermilk · Austin Artist of the Month
Austin-based painter Lisa Loudermilk is the Austin Artist of the Month for October at Unchained.Art Contemporary Gallery. She pushes minimalism past its own limits. She calls it Baroque Modernism: paint rolled and cut with plastic tools, metallic films sealed under resin, every previous layer staying visible in the final work. The result shifts depending on where you stand and how the light hits it. On October 4, Loudermilk joins us from 12 to 4PM to introduce her work in person, as part of the gallery's ongoing Austin Artist of the Month program. Free, on view through October 31.
