Medicare and Voting Rights: From LBJ to Current Day

2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the high tide of the Great Society, which saw transformational change in America through the laws President Johnson saw to fruition: Voting Rights, immigration reform, the creation of Medicare, Medicaid, Head Start, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Endowment of the Arts and the Humanities, and more. Join us as we examine the state of Medicare and voting rights—and the nation at large—today. This event is open to members of the Friends of the LBJ Library (at the Individual level and above).
