The early days of a relationship are full of forgotten foreshadowing, little moments and meetings that only become meaningful in hindsight and, as such, are usually lost to time. Not so for Austin-based photographers Kate Nuelle and Dawson Turner, ever engaged in documenting the world around them. In the pages of their shared photography book, tables overflow with conversation, communities converge, and the city glows with creative energy. Candid vignettes, casual portraits, and mid-20s still lives trace a contemporary Slacker-esque scene, which Turner and Nuelle – a Future Front artist-in-residence – toast on Thursday. – Caroline Drew
