Maiden Mother Crone
Maiden Mother Crone is a new immersive dance-theatre work from Red Nightfall Dance Theatre, created and choreographed by Dorothy O’Shea Overbey. Eight dancers, four models, and an eight-piece chamber ensemble bring a mythic world to life through contemporary ballet, original fashion, projection, and live music, including new composition by Joe Jaxson. At the center of the work, 73-year-old dancer, educator, activist, and dance/movement therapist Barbara Jo Stetzelberger embodies the Crone Archetype. The work unfolds through initiatory trials exploring transformation, power, memory, wisdom, and self-realization.
