“Lost and Found”

What remains past our human lifetime are the objects we created – items which make up curator Yvette Mayorga’s upcoming exhibition. MASS Gallery becomes decorated by memory fragments this Saturday, Jan. 17, with everything from “[painted] flora and fauna passed down through generations” to a “handwritten note of words of affirmation on a table napkin.” These works were gathered via an open call for pieces inspired by personal objects moved over borders and through generations. Contributing artists include Sophia Hatzikos, Emily Lawson, Rewon Shimray, Renee Lai, Sonya Berg, Chantal Lesley, Roberto Jackson Harrington, Xochi Solis, Lorena Diosdado, Edward Gia, Victoria Cantu, Bárbara Miñarro, Yasmine Barrón Marquez, Guadalupe Najar, Nymera Thornton, and Javier Robelo. – James Scott
