Just when we’d beat back social media, Los Coast’s FB reveals what we missed on the eve of ACL Fest’s second weekend, Oct. 9: “We’re goin’ undercover as Maya’s Web to back the legendary Dee Snider of [Twisted Sister] tonight in Downtown Austin at Sunset Room! We’re not gonna take it!!” Damn, man. Austin’s psychedelic soul outfit hit a COVID wall when their major label bow on New West, 2019’s Samsara, mostly capped their active through line within a couple of years. Modern Civil Rights analog Trey Privott sings whenever called upon, but not always with Los Coast axe fiend John Courtney inside their South Congress safe space. No cover, 6:30pm. – Raoul Hernandez
