There’s been many voices in the online debate over Shrill author Lindy West’s latest memoir, from X: The Everything App chuds to feminist Substack thinkers to whatever you call Helen Lewis’ bloviating in The Atlantic. But there’s really only one voice who's gonna be live and in-person this Wednesday talkin’ about the book, and that’s West herself. Hopefully her journey into Bat City to promote this hot-topic tome is a little less eventful than the cross-country road trip detailed in what’s sure to be one of 2026’s most-posted-about nonfictions. – James Scott
