On two wheels and heading to a garage gallery on Enfield Road is a new exhibition featuring work by artists who also identify as bike enjoyers. Pieces by these cycling craftspeople – Will Bryant, Matt Cardinal, Rebekah Flake, Sara Kate Hannon, Drew Liverman, Tim McCool, Anna Moreno, and Blake Whitson – all carry pedal-pushing as their inspiration because, the gallery says, “We love riding bikes. We think Austin is a great town to ride bikes in. We've met many artists here who seem to agree.” Friday marks the show’s start with a reception that promises music, gratis drinks, and cookies. (I’ve had the cookies before; they’re good!) All exhibition proceeds benefit Safe Streets Austin, a local transportation advocacy org dedicated to keeping Austin a pretty great place to pedal. – James Scott
