Maybe the only St. Patrick’s Day screening choice more culturally insensitive would be Halloween III: Season of the Witch. (It’s surprisingly anti-Irish!) Yet there’s nonetheless much to enjoy in this Warwick Davis-led creature feature. After all, this is Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston’s first film role – meaning before she was Rachel, Aniston earned scream-queen cred being chased by a tricycling Davis. The film also spun off several sequels, including infamous additions Leprechaun 4: In Space, Leprechaun in the Hood, and who could forget 2003’s Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood. So sure, your nice Irish-Catholic mom should skip this tale of a vengeful leprechaun coming for his stolen gold, but you, brave Chronicle reader … you oughta see what’s at the end of this blood-soaked rainbow. – James Scott
