No one knows when Sick/Sea will come and go. After an intermittent run of dreamy, jazzy alt-rock throughout the 2010s, the beloved McAllen/Austin-based alt rockers rose from the pandemic dead to drop the Guts EP in 2023 before going dark again. Returning to the ’Gram last September, the trio played one show each in their dual hometowns, and now bills this Hole in the Wall gig with fellow genre agnostics Small Engine Fire and Leila Sunier as their “farewell for now.” Best to catch Audrey Scott and company before they hibernate again until, say, 2030. – Carys Anderson
