Expansive, one-of-a-kind Latin American sounds converge at Hole in the Wall next Thursday, thanks to three emerging acts carving their own distinct paths. Wicho, a Nicaragua-born alt-rocker, celebrates his debut album, escalas en la distancia, seven tracks of sunstreaked pop-rock mulling over liminality and longing. Joining him is PES, a young, funk-inspired multi-instrumentalist from Peru with a psychedelic fusion sound and a passion for songwriting. Neo-soul rapper Adriana Rosso rounds out the showcase with an irreverent flavor of Spanglish hip-hop all her own. – Caroline Drew
