In the world of this Sony Pictures Animation hit distributed by Netflix, your K-pop band bias has divine consequences – which, TBH, most fans already sort of believe. Lead girl group Huntrix are both musical sensations and literal demon hunters, fighting to keep a magical barrier called the Honmoon strong. Mira, Zoey, and Rumi’s campaign against the demonic forces draining human souls for the nasty Gwi-Ma hits two major snags, however: one, competing band the Saja Boys, who are secretly demons, and two, leader Rumi’s hidden demonic parentage. Featuring perhaps the most earworm-heavy soundtrack of the past decade – just try not to sing the chorus of “Golden” – as well as legendary Korean actors among its voice cast, the Academy Award winner screens under the Texas stars thanks to Austin Parks Foundation and partner Rocket Cinema. – James Scott
