Joy in Repetition: An Austin Salute 2 Prince w/ Grupo Fantasma & Friends ft. Nakia, Adrian Quesada, Alesia Lani, Geto Gala, & more
Latin funk orchestra Grupo Fantasma spent three years backing the Prince, including during his famed 21-night London residency and on the Golden Globes stage. So on the 10th anniversary of his death, some of the Purple One's closest Austin collaborators will pay tribute. Grupo Fantasma, including original member Adrian Quesada, leads the charge on the tour through Prince's extensive catalog, but the “and friends” cast is extensive: Eighteen local singers will rotate through the stage, including Akina Adderley, Nakia, and Suzanna Choffel. There will be tears. There will be friends. But most importantly, there will be dancing. – Abby Johnston
