John Mulaney is one of the most hilarious people on the planet, so it comes as no surprise that he’s troubled, but the Comeback Kid is certainly back to business for this second special since addiction treatment in 2020. The multi-Emmy winner honed his comedy chops writing for SNL and went on to host six times, resulting in some of its best stuff (Stefon, What’s That Name?). But he’s truly at home onstage, pacing across in his dapper suit while laying down a carefully crafted stand-up show full of witty narratives and wry insights informed by his Catholic upbringing and years in show business. – Kat McNevins
