Jeff Tweedy stays busy. Between touring Wilco’s 2023 release Cousin, two hip replacement surgeries, and a brief holiday reunion of Nineties supergroup Golden Smog, the prolific Chicago-based songwriter found time for a 30-track triple album, Twilight Override, and a subsequent tour. Joined onstage and on the record by his two sons, his latest solo work is a family affair full of contemplative melodies, sweetly lilting harmonies, and plenty of Tweedy and company’s signature fraying indie/prog rock breakdowns. – Caroline Drew
