Are you a cartoonist thirsting for more community in Austin? Look no further than this casual mixer/drink-n-draw open to all skill levels, hosted by local cartoonists Ashley Robin Franklin and Sammy Ness. This month’s guest readers include Marc Hess, a fiction writer from Fredericksburg who partnered with illustrator Ira Bobrovska to create a comic series about friendship called Coyote Peak; Chelsea Akpan, who draws an ongoing satirical romantic comedy series called Lovefool; and more local talents, including Tómas Díaz Mora, Jessica Orozco, and Nat Grimm. Sip on some free drinks and hear local indie artists read their comics, or browse Alienated Majesty’s unique curated collection of comics to get inspired.
