For the low low price of $5, Lunchbox Cinema – thee Chicana film programmer for We Luv Video – presents Dario Argento’s 1980 horror Inferno, the second film in the master of giallo’s “Three Mothers” trilogy, and a sequel of sorts to Suspiria. Though plot is secondary to style with Argento, this one follows a young music student in Rome who stumbles upon a diary that details the reign of three terrifying sisters of darkness – and chaos ensues. And, this event’s a raffle of sorts: One attendee will win two tickets to Argento’s Deep Red on Halloween night at the Paramount Theatre, with a live score by Goblin, composer Claudio Simonetti’s iconic orchestra behind the scores for some of the horror greats, like Suspiria, Dawn of the Dead, and Tenebre.
