THE SPACE BETWEEN THE NOTES
Sitar maestro Niladri Kumaar is hailed as a maverick musician and composer and one of India’s most compelling and innovative stars. A frequent collaborator with the late Ustad Zakir Hussain, their profound artistic bond culminated in a remarkable live concert recording in Mumbai, The Space Between the Notes.
In this specially curated presentation, Niladri honors his friend and mentor by revisiting music from that collaboration, reimagined through his own interpretations and original compositions — carrying forward a centuries-old musical tradition along a path deeply inspired by Zakir Hussain.
