Host Publications will be celebrating the arrival of fall with activities custom-built in a laboratory for the writers and readers of Austin. From noon to 4pm, you’ll get to join other lit-heads in a book sale, a tarot-inspired writing workshop, a spooky adult spelling bee, and pumpkin painting. The day will end with a series of readings and ice cream, just like typical I Scream Socials. Proceeds from the event raise funds for the Austin-based indie publisher. The event is free, so RSVP on Host Publications’ Eventbrite. – Charlie Sharpe
