Host Publications continues their monthly feminist reading series into the new year, and it’s a real sweet treat. January’s authorial picks all tend toward the writer/activist title, their works pushing a progressive agenda as well as intersectional praxis. They include: Clear the Air ATX co-organizer and poet Gaby Benitez, Porter House Review managing editor and poet Sara Bawany, and Texas poet laureate and executive director of Torch Literary Arts Amanda Johnston. What delicious poetic tastes await thee – and what actual gustatory delights, too, as Amy’s provides the iced cream for this I-scream party. – James Scott
