I’m starting the campaign for a new movie genre called “magical woman falls for normal guy with a job” cinema. Currently known entries include subtle Christmas movie Bell, Book and Candle, which begat televised sister to the MWFFNGWAJ cinematic universe Bewitched, and this Polish supernatural comedy. Actor Grzegorz Warchol takes a spin in the director’s seat and Katarzyna Walter plays lead in a vampire romance where gorgeous bloodsucker Izabela crushes so hard on a psychiatrist customer of her aunt’s store that she no longer covets her undead lifestyle. A sultry and silly time, this screening comes courtesy of WLV’s new Clerks Programming Spotlight – where the rental shop’s own volunteer staffers select faves to share. So if you like this one, make sure you tell Sarah Marie thanks! – James Scott
