This Halloween marks 100 years to the day since Harry Houdini’s death. Fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe, Austin’s award-winning Hidden Room Theatre marks the centennial with a special four-night-only run of Houdini Speaks to the Living, culminating Halloween night. Watch Houdini and his real-life friend and nemesis, Sherlock Holmes creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, battle it out using their actual words over spirits, séances, and the eternal question: Can the dead speak? The Austin Chronicle called it “a true drama, one that makes us ponder the afterlife and, more importantly, life.” Starring Robert Matney and Patrick Terry.
