For over a decade, KUTX booker Deidre Gott has volunteered with Front Steps, the nonprofit behind the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless, which neighbors many Red River music venues. As a former Dollywood employee and certified Parton fanatic, Gott’s loves align at her third annual concert fundraiser for Austin’s unhoused residents. Resurrecting at Stubb’s from Barracuda (RIP), over 20 Austinites offer covers backed by throwback groovers the Steep Cats. Sabrina Ellis (Sweet Spirit), Daniel Sahad (Nané), Shinyribs, Jake Lloyd, Daniel Fears, Mèlat, Carrie Fussell, Lolita Lynne, Zach Person, Caleb DeCasper, Chief Cleopatra, and many more take on classics by the Country Queen.
