Home Street Music Seventh Birthday Concert w/ Anastasia Hera, Grace Rowland, Scott Strickland

On this side of chronic homelessness, Community First! Village residents sing their hearts out. In music circles initiated by Home Street Music, founded in 2017, they become the backing band for songs written by their neighbors – or any songs that move them. Eventually, the Home Street Music Band gets to stand on Austin stages, shining alongside professional musicians and performers. For this edition, the band visits Radio/East. Following their performance kicking off the org’s seventh anniversary event, rapper and producer Anastasia Hera (with a forthcoming album, Way Outside, to be released by Spaceflight Records) takes the stage along with singer-songwriters Grace Rowland (The Deer) and Radio co-owner Jack Wilson, and blues-rocker Scott Strickland. – Christina Garcia
