The focus of this workshop will be to make either holiday cards or standard prints that can be used as gifts or just to keep. Students will learn proper technique for linoleum block carving and will have the opportunity to both hand print and use a printing press to create at least one edition of prints. The workshop will guide students through carving text to print correctly before allowing them to approach the project in their own way, utilizing 2 (or more) linoleum blocks. The workshop will supply ink, gloves, and cleanup materials.
