Halloweird

Who says libraries can’t be spooky? Austin Public Library’s Ruiz branch is turning into a Halloween playground for grownups. Horror fans can test their movie knowledge with trivia, create creepy crafts, and join a short story workshop led by local author and screenwriter C. Robert Cargill, whose credits include The Black Phone and Sinister. From plush bats to pumpkin mosaics, there’s plenty to keep your hands busy while your imagination runs wild at this free, adults-only event. – Erika Gonzalez
