Green guy Gumby and his orange horse friend Pokey have been ever present since the mid-Fifties, when Art Clokey’s stop-motion animation clay characters appeared on Howdy Doody, leading to series The Gumby Show. Eddie Murphy’s SNL parody in the Eighties revived interest in the little guy and spurred new series Gumby Adventures, and now Fox plans to release even more new Gumby series. But the beloved original is now enjoying a 4K restoration, with six classic shorts playing here, including space adventure “Moon Trip” and “Mirror Land,” which takes Gumby through a hall of mirrors to retrieve his lost coin. – Kat McNevins
