As part of their continuing series celebrating Black History Month’s 100th anniversary, the Carver Museum welcomes Lannaya Drum & Dance for a workshop and performance showcase. The Lannaya ensemble’s mission is the education and exposure of audiences to the dance and drum arts of the African diaspora, which they’ve done since 2000. They share their expertise this Thursday in specifically Guinean dance with the backing of a live djembe’ orchestra. – James Scott
