How very topical: Mere days after Trump declared dunzo decades of scientific findings about climate change, George Saunders is coming to town to talk about his latest novel, about an oil tycoon and climate denier on his deathbed. Reviews of the novel – his first since 2017’s Booker Prize winning Lincoln at the Bardo – have been all over the map, earning raves here and shrugs there. But Saunders is one of the great chroniclers of the human condition, American varietal, and he’s a fascinating conversationalist to boot.
