A big bold moon brings out Austin’s afrodelic life-marrow suckers, the Golden Dawn Arkestra, revisiting the interstellar overdrives of jazz, funk, soul, and psych rock in the freaky-deaky big band manner of Sun Ra. Aiding and abetting is Black Angels frontman Alex Maas, still showing off solo debut Luca with sensitivity and goose bumps.
